UU Annex Office Hours
The Annex office
will now be opened and staffed two days a week. You will be able to
stop in and check out books or take care of church business on Mondays
from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. and Fridays from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Movie Night
This
monthly event will take place every second Saturday at 7 p.m. at the
home of Valerie Stephens and Guy Newland (1665 Scully Dr.). The next
Movie Night is set for December 8. This month’s showing will be “The
Lives of Others.”
Please call Valerie the day of if you plan to attend.
Greentree Gift Certificates
Give to your church
and shop where you love to shop! Five percent of all sales go to the
UUFCM general fund. Contact Liz Busch for details. Think you would use
this program regularly or know about how much you would use? Let Liz
know! This will enable us to better plan purchases of the gift
certificates. Contact Liz Busch at 400-6813.
Treasurer’s Corner
Since July 1
(beginning of the new year) our regular offering total is $20,944.58.
The 2007-08 budget is $52,840.00.
Community Rewards
If you wish to
participate in the Meijer Community Rewards program and name the
fellowship as a beneficiary organization, the code number for the UUFCM
is 396318. You can apply using a form available at the store service
desk. Unfortunately, you need to pay with cash (not check), a debit
card, or a Meijer credit card for your purchases to earn reward credit.
Holiday Revels Needs Your Talent!
Wanted: for the
service on December 16, we would like to concentrate and do a Christmas
Revels/Talent Show. Please consider this celebration as an opportunity
for both young and older to perform and celebrate the season. Both
light-hearted and serious things could be performed; the more, the
merrier! Contact Beth Macleod or Ricky Courlander for more information.
UUFCM Website
We are excited to
announce that we have contracted with All in One design to launch a new
website for UUFCM! We need people to write content and help with
pictures. Please contact a board member if you are able to help.
The Malawi Children's’ Fund
The Malawi
Children’s Village was a large success! As part of our ongoing social
action projects, we will be having a special collection basket on
December 9. This money will go towards rebuilding a nursery that was
lost in a fire.
